Inland Empire Closing Gift Baskets That Keep Introducing You
· Inland Engravings
A closing gift basket is the one piece of your marketing that ends up on the client's kitchen counter. Here is how Inland Empire realtors build a personalized basket that puts the family's name first, keeps yours in the room, and is ready before the keys are.
Why the gift keeps working after closing day
A closing gift does not get used once. It gets used in front of people.
Your clients move in, and then the visits start. Parents, neighbors, friends over for the first dinner. Somebody picks up the cutting board off the counter and turns it over. Somebody reaches into the cabinet for a tumbler with the family's name on it. Somebody notices the small sign by the front door.
Then the question: where did you get that? Your name comes up in the owners' own words, in their own home.
Some of those guests are thinking about buying or selling. When they are, they already have a name. The gift keeps doing quiet work for you long after the keys are handed over.
Where your name goes
The family's name goes big. Yours goes small.
That order matters. If your logo is the first thing anyone sees, it reads as an ad, and ads go in a drawer. If the family's name is front and center, it reads as a gift, and gifts stay out.
So the owners' name, or their name and closing date, goes on the face of the board, the side of the tumbler, the lid of the box. Your mark goes somewhere quieter:
- On the back of a cutting board
- On the bottom of a tumbler or mug
- On a small engraved plate
- On an engraved card tucked into the basket
Small, clean, and easy to find when someone goes looking. It shows on the proof, so you see the balance before anything is made.
How to build a realtor closing gift basket
Pick a few pieces that live in different rooms. You want to be in more than one place in the house.
Counter
A board is the anchor: the marble and acacia cutting board or the bamboo board, with the family's name on the face. If they like to host, the 11 piece charcuterie set or the 5 piece serving board set comes out when company does. A knife set with a magnetic block sits on the counter every day.
Cabinet
A pair of 40 oz tumblers for the two of them, a camper coffee mug for the first morning in the house, or 12 oz wine tumblers for the patio. All engraved in our shop; the skinny tumbler, the 32 oz water bottle, and the rest are in the drinkware collection.
Bar or shelf
The whiskey decanter sits out on the bar. The wood memory box takes a name and date on the lid.
Entry
A small engraved sign for the front door, made in our shop from acrylic or wood: a family name sign, or a No Soliciting sign with the family's name on it, the first thing a guest sees at the door. Ask for it on the quote page with the rest of the basket.
The closing photo
The oversized acrylic Sold key is for closing day itself. Engrave it with your name and brokerage, or the owners' names and date. It ends up in the photo they post.
Three example baskets
- Young family: bamboo cutting board with the family name and closing date, two camper mugs, and a family name entry sign.
- Downsizers: marble and acacia board, whiskey decanter, memory box for the keys and photos, and a No Soliciting sign for the new front door.
- First home: 5 piece serving board set and a pair of 40 oz tumblers.
Or start from our engraved housewarming gift basket, built per client, and swap pieces in and out. The closing gifts and kitchen and home collections have the rest. We covered which pieces tend to get kept, and the board specs, in our guide to closing gifts for Inland Empire realtors.
What to send us, and when
Send the family's name, the closing date, the pieces you want, and your logo through the quote page. You get a free digital proof within 48 hours, and nothing is made until you approve it. Typical turnaround is 3–5 business days after approval, then free local pickup in the Inland Empire or shipping nationwide.
On timing: tell us two to three weeks before closing. Some custom pieces take longer, depending on the project. A little room means the basket is ready when the keys are.
Make it your signature
You do not have to reinvent the basket every time. Pick a set, and every client gets that set with their own name on it. After the first one, each new basket is a short note with the next family's name and date, and you still get a proof to approve before anything is made.
Common questions
How far ahead of closing should I order?
Two to three weeks. The free digital proof comes within 48 hours, nothing is made until you approve it, and typical turnaround is 3–5 business days after approval.
Where does my logo go?
Small and out of the way: the back of the board, the bottom of the tumbler, or an engraved card in the basket. The family's name takes the front.
Can I reorder the same basket for every client?
Yes. Pick a set once; each new order is the next family's name and date, and you still approve a proof before anything is made.
Ready to put one together?
Send the family's name, the closing date, and the pieces you are thinking about through our quote page. You will have a free digital proof within 48 hours, no obligation. If you would rather talk it through, call (909) 265-3656.
